Mr. Deepak Mehta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Deepak Nitrite Limited and its subsidiary, Deepak Phenolics Limited. With over 48 years of experience in driving sustainable and responsible manufacturing practices and as a thought leader in the chemical Industry, Mr. Mehta is instrumental in diversifying the company across products, segments, new business, and geographies.
Armed with science degree, Mr. Mehta has led the company on scientific path coupled with astute responsible chemistry, while establishing it as a leading specialty chemicals and intermediates company not just in India but globally. An active participant at industry forums, he is the Chairman of Gujarat State Council-FICCI. He is also Chairman of National Chemicals Committee-FICCI, Chairman of the Sector Skills Council of FICCI and Member of the Steering Committee.
Previously, he served as a President of Indian Chemicals Council and adorned the position of member of ‘Task Force on Chemicals Industry’. He is also an active Trustee on Deepak Foundation. He is Chairman of Society for Village Development in Petrochemicals Area (SVADES) and a Member on the Board of GSFC University.
